In 2015 Anderson Events joined the Cancer Council NSW to bring the City Mile Dash back to Sydney, for the first time at the new Barangaroo Park.
In 2016 Cancer Council NSW’s City Mile Dash was back for its 5th year!

Friday 17 June was an fantastic day at Sydney’s newly created Barangaroo Reserve, with hundreds of participants joining in the 1.6km challenge and raising funds to help beat cancer.
The City Mile Dash was an event founded in 2011 by the Cancer Council. Targeted towards corporate businesses, it was a chance for them to jump on board easily. Most employees would know someone in their organisation who has encountered cancer, and this was a chance to raise funds and awareness.
The event was designed to be held during lunch times on a annual basis.
